Lokosa

Junior Lokosa

Nigeria striker, Junior Lokosa has a lot to prove at Esperance FC of Tunisia because he was recommended by Gernot Rohr, his national team coach, says club President, Hamdi Meddeb.
Lokosa joined the team on Tuesday from Nigeria Professional League side, Kano Pillars but was never handed a trial by the Tunisian side.
Explaining Lokosa’s circumstances, Meddeb told a Tunisian sport site, Sportico that Lokosa does not need any trial as a player coming from Rohr.
Lokosa is a striker suggested by Gernot Rohr, the Nigerian national team handler. I trust Mr Rohr a lot. Apart from being a good friend, he has helped Esperance a lot in scouting and camping at decent sites across Europe. It is left to Moine Chabaani (team coach) to do the rest.
Esperance signed Lokosa on the day the club clocked 100 years and the striker will have to struggle with team top scorer Taha Yassine Khennisi for the striker’s slot. In 10 league games, Khennisi has scored seven goals.
He will be introduced today to the crowd when Esperance tackle FC Platinum at the 60,000 capacity Stade Olympique de Rades in Tunis. He could play his first match away to CA Bizertine on Monday and his first continental duty in South Africa against Orlando Pirates.
There is a big Nigerian impact in Esperance.
