Nigeria: Super Eagles to Know Afcon Opponents On April 12

Three-time champions Nigeria will know their group phase opponents at the 32 nd  Africa Cup of Nations finals on 12 th  April – the date now approved by the Confederation of African Football for the staging of the draw. The ceremony, which will take place in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, will see the 24 qualified teams drawn into six groups of four teams each, with the two top-placed teams in each group, alongside the best four third –placed teams, progressing to the Round of 16. Egypt 2019 will be the first 24-team Africa Cup of Nations in history, with matches scheduled to be played in eight venues between 21 st  June and 19 th  July. Nigeria’s Super Eagles have already made sure of a place in the finals, ahead of the final round of the qualifying matches scheduled for late March 2019. Nigeria host Seychelles at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba on 23 rd  March in what is purely an academic exercise.

Nigeria: Ahmed Musa's Mother Dies in Abuja

Mother of Nigerian forward, Ahmed Musa, has passed on in an Abuja hospital on Thursday, January 24. Musa took to social media to announce the death of his mum, Sarah Moses, with a blank picture and crying emojis. The AlNassr forward is currently in Nigeria a due to a reported injury that has ruled him out of action for his Saudi Arabia club side. Official : Fenerbahce Announce Signing Of Chelsea Winger Victor Moses

Turkish Super Lig side Fenerbahce have confirmed via their official website the signing of former Nigeria international Victor Moses on loan until the end of the 2019-2020 season.  The right winger penned a contract with The Yellow Canaries after passing a medical following his arrival in Istanbul. Moses is departing Chelsea on a temporary basis after scoring 18 goals in 128 appearances since joining the club from Wigan Athletic in August 2012. With previous loan stints at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham, this is the fourth time he has been farmed out on loan by The Blues in order to experience first-team football on a regular basis.  Moses has appeared in only six matches for Chelsea this term, with five appearances off the bench. Nigeria: Rohr Gives Conditions for Victor Moses' Return to Super Eagles

As Nigerians continue to call for the return of Super Eagles forward, Victor Moses, to the senior national team, Head Coach, Gernot Rohr, insisted Wednesday that the former Chelsea forward must show commitment and be ready to fight for shirt. The Franco-German tactician had expressed shock when the ace winger informed him after the last World Cup final in Russia that he wanted to take a break from the team and resuscitate his dwindling career at Chelsea following the appointment of another coach in Sarri.

Nigeria: Moses Joins Fenerbahce On Loan

Former Super Eagles' star, Victor Moses will spend the rest of the season in Turkey having turned down the chance to make a permanent move to China, according to his club, Chelsea. Chelsea wanted to sell the player outright during this January transfer window following his demotion in the first team by Maurizio Sarri. But he turned down the chance to move to China, opting to go to Turkey on a temporary deal.His current contract With Chelsea runs until 2021, but he has failed to make an impact under Maurizio Sarri. Third NPFL/LaLiga coaching clinic kicks off in Abuja

The annual coaching clinic precedes the NPFL U-15 Promises Tournament and is designed to train youth coaches on how to properly develop young talents using LaLiga methodology.The content of the clinic will as usual be framed within a level three (professional) syllabus where coaches will learn more complex and technical aspects of LaLiga’s methodology as a continuation of levels One (beginner) and Two (intermediate) training from the first and second editions. OMERUO RANKED THE BEST NIGERIA PLAYER FOR THE MONTH OF DECEMBER

Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has been ranked the best Nigerian player in the big five leagues in Europe (Premier League, Serie A, La Liga, Bundesliga, Ligue 1) for the month of December. International Centre for Sports Studies -  CIES Football Observatory  has rated players on a match-by-match basis by taking into account the pitch production and efficiency at both individual and collective level.
